Probably diverticula: Small intestinal diverticula are outpouchings that look like a sac protruding from the intestine and may contain a stones. Chronic irritation can lead to obstruction from strictures or inflammatory adhesions. Rarely, they may perforate. Colonic diverticula are much more common and can also harbor stones and can develop diverticulitis.
