Wrinkle treatments: Chemical peels and lasers may be used to treat wrinkles. Different peels and lasers will treat at different depths of the skin. The deeper the treatment, the longer the recovery and the greater the risk for complications to occur. Microdermabrasion will help give a "fresh" appearance to the skin but will likely not significantly improve wrinkles.

Depends: A deep medical grade microdermabrasion can cause down time, and done in series like medium peels, get rid of fine lines. These days face lifts are usually reserved for ridding excess sagging skin. Lasers and deep peels are needed for deeper wrinkles than fine wrinkles.

All are effective : Peels (laser or chemical) and microdermabrasion are all forms of controlled "injury" to the skin to effect a smoother healed result. Fine lines can be improved subtly or more dramatically depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment. Surgery involves lifting the skin and redraping it to smooth out wrinkles and can be much more dramatic but is best when combined with less invasive treatments.
