A member asked:

What if lymphocytes are a little lower than normal?

Not to worry: The lymphocyte count is a part of the differential white count on the CBC test. The most common reason why it would be low is because of a higher neutrophil count dropping the relative percentage of the lymphocyte count. Unless the absolute lymphocyte count is persistently low with all the other counts in normal range, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for asking!: Is it the absolute lymphocyte count or the %lymphocyte? Any other abnormality showing in the cbc? More importantly, any significant clinical manifestation, such as prone to infection.
