Multiple causes: Pain in the forearm in the absence of recalled injury can be caused by tendinitis at the elbow. On the lateral (outside of the elbow) radiating down it is commonly called "tennis elbow", while the inside radiating down is called "pitchers" or "golfer's" elbow. Pain can be also referred from C6 nerve root pain from the neck, radial tunnel syndrome, or even carpal or cubital tunnel syndromes.
