Caused by heat: Heat rash is caused by heat. It has a variety of presentations, most common being red bumps with small vesicles that are easily ruptured. Contact dermatitis is extremely itchy and is localized to areas that are exposed to the offending agent. It is always red and swollen and sometimes has small vesicles with the affected area.
