Biliary scan=hida : Yes a biliary scan is a hide or pipida scan. Cck may or may not be used during the study. If they are going to calculate how well your gallbladder contracts to stimulation...They very likely will use cck.

Biliary scan varies: Biliary scan can be performed with HIDA or PIPIDA. Cholecystokinin (CCK) or a fatty meal can be used to stimulate gb contraction and determine ejection fraction. Other uses of biliary scan without CCK or fatty meal is used to determine cause of infant's jaundice and sometimes for biliary obstruction and biliary leak.
