HIDA scan: > 40% is considered the EF needed to rule out chronic cholecystitis. Medication/ Conditions as opioids, atropine benzodiazepines ethanol Indomethacin Nicotine Nifedipine birth control Octreotide Theophylline interfere with the exam ( avoid for 6-12 hrs), also achalasia Celiac disease Crohn's Diabetes mellitus Irritable bowel Pancreatic insufficiency sickle disease affect . f/u/ w/ MD
