Ovarian sizes: Ovaries are invariably two different sizes normally in women. A large unilateral swelling of an ovary without cysts would be a concern that would require further investigation by the MD. At age 44, you are probably not ovulating monthly anymore as the ovaries prepare to shut down with impending menopause. Talk to your GYN MD about this issue who has made the "swelling" determination.
