had a and pelvis ct because of large amount of stool in large intestine and upper abdomen swelling. lots of air in large intestine. what does lots of air in large intestine mean? is it the same as gas?

Yes: Air in the large intestine and gas in the large intestine mean the same thing. Usually, if there is too much stool in the intestine, one needs to get that stool out and try to get the intestines to work normally again. One's doctor can evaluate to find the cause of the stool accumulation. Constipation is common and has many treatments, but we don't want anything serious going on like colon cancer.
