No: Some of the larger reduction can remove over 1500 gm per side. It depends on the size of your breasts preoperatively. 800 gm is approximately 2 pounds.

Depends on Situation: Your answer depends on what you mean by “a lot”. As you can imagine, 800 g on one patient may be much more significant than on a another patient with a different body type.The amount of tissue removed during breast reduction surgery varies greatly. I would say that 800 g is about average amount removed for patients undergoing breast reduction surgery in my practice.
