Unusual: The iris can change color over the years, but usually very gradually. The cornea, which is the clear dome over the iris, can develop haziness which can make the iris appear to be decreasing in pigment. There are rare conditions that can cause iris depigmentation, so an eye exam would be indicated to be sure everything is healthy.
