Not really: Lutein is one of the components of the macular area and has been suggested as a possible ameliorative agent for older folks macular degeneration. It has a yellowish color and to the extent that the macular area, has this tint, then lutein might contribute. But supplementary lutein will not change this and it is the back of the eye so not observable in the mirror.
