What is the most powerful antibiotic?

Spectrum, not power: Doctors don't categorize antibiotics in terms of their 'power, ' but in terms of which bacteria they treat. You want an antibiotic that will treat the infection you have. If you don't know the cause, then you sometimes need a 'broad spectrum antibiotic, ' one that treats a wide variety of bacteria.
