Sinusitis for 1 month. 10 days Augmentin did not work. Now on Doxycycline for 5/10 and still not helping. CT scan shows sinusitis. Cannot breathe, just started Flonase, washes, steam. What next? Does it take more antibiotics? Stronger?
Doc thinks i had the flu in january. On round 3 of antibiotic (amox, amox-clav now avelox) for sinusitis. Is this happening to other patients this yr?
If is it common and safe for heart to take Clarithomycin for a sinusitis 10 - 14 days (2x 500 mg)? Clarithomycin is only antibiotic (Levoxa and Augmentin doesn't) which help me but after 6 days of taking I have still sometimes pain (exercises etc.).
Is there a way I can get a different antibiotic to treat my acute sinusitis? I was prescribed augmentin, apparently I cannot take it. I am having side effects such as diarrhea and awful upset stomach.
I've been on antibiotics a lot this year for chronic sinusitus. Did augmentin 20days, doxy10days, and just started augmentin21days. Should i be worried? My nose is still stopped up, and I'm afraid of becoming resistant or killing my gut. Could i die?
