Fibromyalgia symptom: Symptoms of fibromyalgia (is that your q?)=painful muscles, joints, tendons, soft tissues. Allergy symp: itching, sneezing, congestion, coughing, wheezing, etc. There is little overlap. Food allergies can cause abdominal pain and rarely joint pain, but mainly episodically after the food, not chronically like fibromyalgia. Both have fatigue. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/pmh0001463/.

Different: Fibromyalgia & allergies have relatively mutually exclusive signature symptom constellations. Fibromyalgia symptoms include chronic widespread painful muscle spasm, chronic fatigue, restless sleep & foggy mental process. Allergy symptoms manifest as airway constrictions, itching & rashes, swellings, & other effects of inflammation. The pathophysiology of allergies is known, but not known for FM.
