Can inguinal hernias cause rectal spasms?

No: There is no relationship between inguinal hernias and the rectum. Veryu large hernias that have been ignored for many decades sometimes get so bi that intestine can travel into a very large scrotum - but even then this is not the rectum. Get a proper evaluation.

Rectal spasm: Usually not. I suppose in a rare case where the colon has gone through a large hernia and is pulling on the rectum, anal spasm could theoretically happen, but I have not seen that yet.
