Hypertension: Wellbutrin (bupropion) is not a medication used in treatment of high blood pressure. You should call your np and verify asap. If your blood pressure is that high you will need to be evaluated asap.

Depends: If you are already taking blood pressure medication. You can have your np check on see if wellbutrin (bupropion) has drug interaction with your current blood pressure medication. Either switch the medication or adjust your blood pressure medication.

Porbably: You are already on Cymbalta (duloxetine) and if you are at a higher dose it is functions on same paths (norepinephrine reuptake) as welbutrin. Norepinephrine can impact blood pressure. So now you are probalby on 2 norpeinephrine reuptake inhibitors and the norepi is impacting your blood pressure. You'll no for sure if your blood pressure drops a few weeks after stopping the wellbutrin.

Not necessarily.: Your np may have prescribed wellbutrin for smoking cessation. Not everybody on wellbutrin experiences a rise in bp. It is likely that you had an adverse drug interaction between wellbutrin and Cymbalta (duloxetine) in which case your BP should normalize after stopping wellbutrin.
