A member asked:

A family member accidentally took about 600mg of wellbutrin (bupropion) this morning and has an upset stomach and is feeling sick now- what should we be aware of?

Potential seizures: Are you sure this was accidental, and not intentional? If there's any question at all about the latter, your family member needs to be seen and evaluated by a physician today. Taking that much wellbutrin (bupropion) at once could risk seizures. I suggest you call her doctor now and go to er, since we don't know for sure how much was taken.

Call Poison Control: If they are not on any other medications they should be fine. It is likely too late to throw it up (it is 1pm now.) in general 600mg increases seizure risk but probably not one dose.

Accidental ingestion: Please note that this web site is not an appropriate forum for emergencies. Accidental ingestions should be addressed in an emergency room or by contacting poison control in your area.
