Event monitor: It may be helpful to wear an event monitor for 2 to 4 weeks to assess the exact heart rhythm during these episodes.

Consider psvt: He may have a short circuit arrhythmia. If the heart is racing over 160 during these episodes and starts and stops suddenly you should see an ep and consider catheter ablation.
