Shingles: It can take over a month for the lesions to go away, but the swelling typically goes away sooner. If you have not been on a steroid, see your doctor as steroids have been shown to decrease long term pain from shingles. Feel better. Shingles can be miserable.

May take some time: This may take some time....A couple if weeks especially if you are on valtrex (valacyclovir)....Stay calm....Take your meds...Follow up with your doc especially if you have increasing pain or eye discomfort, tearing, redness or vision changes...Or if you are feeling worse or not getting better.

Shingles: The rash/blister and swelling will take couple weeks to subside. However, the pain might remain. The duration of the pain is hard to predict. Some people will develop chronic pain from shingles (post herpetic neuralgia).

Shingles: The rash normally should resolve in a week to 10 days. make sure there is no super added infection. The duration is shorter is acyclovir has been started with in 1 st 72 hours. some times residual pain is left even after rash is gone, called post herpetic neuralgia . See your doctor if concerns
