Yes: Promethazine and ondansetron can be taken for nausea while pregnant. Both require a prescription. Over the counter items can include vitamin b6 (up to 25 mg/day), ginger (up to 1, 000 mg/day) and frequent small meals may help.

Ask your doc: Otc are vitamin b6 and antihistamines like doxylamine (an antihistamine that's available as a sleeping pill under the brand name unisom nighttime sleep-aid. (be sure not to get maximum strength unisom sleepgels, which are a different product) but it can make you drowsy. Ask your doctor if you can take them. Also compazine, tigan or the antihistamine Phenergan (promethazine) are prescription meds you may take.

Discuss with doctor: It is important to talk to your own doctor about meds to take while pregnant. However in general- i recommend my patients use bonine- its an otc anti- nausea med.
