Enlarged heart on cxr. will it affect life expectancy?

Depends: Sometimes enlarged heart is called on cxr , but cardiac evaluation reveal no structural abnormalities. If that is case, life expectancy should not be affected. But if there is structural heart diseaein form of thickened heart muscle, weakened heart muscle, valvular, congenital, or coronary vascular disease, then life expectancy would be affected.

Chest X-ray the doctor observed an enlarged heart, EKG was good, nurse said echo was good. My appt is the end of may, do I still need to be concerned.
I was diagnosed by CT scan with mild cardiomegaly. However, every chest x ray shows neggative cardiomegaly. When I look at the photo my heart is visibly enlarged? How are they missing the enlargment? I've had at least 6 x rays all neggative?
I recently had a chest X-ray in the ER during an emergency appendectomy. The report says enlarged main pulmonary artery may suggest pulmonary hypertension. Heart size normal. Im terrified?
