Orthotics feel so hard despite blue material. anything soft/cushy i could use over them? arch pain.

Orthotics: You need to make sure to wear properly fitted orthotics and arch support otherwise it can do more harm then good. What you have is not comfortable even after you give some time to get used to it then it is not properly fitting.

Hard orthotics: Custom foot orthoses require a break-in period to adjust to the control. If you have gone through a break-in, i suggest returning to the doctor who made them for modifications. Once broken in you should not feel them.

Gel Cushions: You should be able to find in the foot isle in the store. That should help.

Orthotics : Can be made custom to fit your only your feet. Podiatrist can always adjust them and add cushion. Otc orthotics are not made specific for your feet.
