My left ear pains when there is a hiccup. i have cleaned it as well. what could it possibly be? what can i do?

Have your doc check : Have your doc check your ear. You could have some fluid behind your ear drum which possibly may need medicine....Or maybe just some beign ...Or allergy related fluid build up. Also could be a eustachian tube dysfunction...Or a nerve irritation. You should be checked out by your doctor to determine the cause of this.

Eustachian tube: It sounds like eustachian tube dysfunction. It is typically from nasal swelling, usually either a cold or allergies. If it not resolving, see an ent.
