A member asked:

Was the adverse report connecting omega 3 to prostate cancer limited to fish oil based omega 3s or onega 3 in general, including that from flaxseed?

All Omega-3: This study looked at whether high bloodstream levels of certain vitamins were associated with a protective effect against developing prostate cancer. Patients with high levels of omega-3's were expected to have a lower rate of prostate cancer, but it was the opposite. In order to get to high levels, most people would be taking it as supplements. Eating flaxseed in your diet may not be a problem.
