Yes: Gaucher disease treatment used to be limited to enzyme replacement therapy (ert)with cerazyme as the only product. Since there is now a oral ert product called Miglustat as well as competing ert products vpriv (velaglucerase alfa) and elylyso. In addition, there is substrate reduction therapy (srt) agents in the pipeline that are under investigation at the moment.
