Yes and No: At one point, it was thought that cleaning your eyelids with diluted baby shampoo was a good treatment option for blepharitis, a condition that can lead to red, irritated eyes. However, today's thinking is that baby shampoo is not as gentle as once thought to be, and blepharitis should really be treated with otc lid scrubs.
