Not necessarily: Hla b27 is a genetic test that increases the risk of ankylosing spondylitis and related conditions. ANA is a general screening test for autoimmune disease, but is most often used to screen for lupus or other connective tissue disease, not ankylosing spondylitis. Should discuss with your doctor why he/she tested for both of them.
