Several Days: Daypro (oxaprozin) has a long half life of about 22 hrs. This means that it will take several days to reach a steady state level in the body. It is this steady state level that needs to be achieved to determine efficacy. Most likely 3-4 days before you will notice some relief.

A few days : It is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug and after a few days should help with pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis or an inflammatory tendonopathy. Different classes of nsaids may be tried if this one seems ineffective.
