Further exam: Cramping can be due to using muscles that you don't normally use though this seems unlikely in your fingers. It could also be due to dehydration, an imbalance of potassium/sodium, response to prescription medications... As well as many other causes. I would suggest further work-up.

Possible arthritis: Variety of conditions that can cause cramping of fingers and toes joints: osteoarthritis, circulation, electrolyte imbalance, medications.
