Yes: If you're concerned about the appearance, how the nail will grow out, or pain, swelling and redness, then see a doctor. Otherwise, it's not an emergency.

Painful nail: If there is a crack at the base of the nail causing pain your podiatrist can easily treat this with a procedure in the office. Usually the crack will grow out on its own as long as there is no infection present. Knowing what may have caused the crack would help. Good luck!
