Is it possible to develop an immunity to medication?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Medication "immunity: Here where we are, patients typically consider an "immunity" to medication to the situation wherein medication stops working. To physicians, we call it tolerance. What happens is that the person's ability to break down medication becomes more efficient, and the medication tends to break down quicker, thus a lessening of the effect it is supposed to give.
