Can you take antacid with nexium (esomeprazole)?

Yes...: If treating heartburn/reflux esophagitis, Gaviscon or generic equivalent ("compare with Gaviscon") is a good choice. Gaviscon taken after meals and at bedtime, when combined with a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole (Prilosec) or esomeprazole (Nexium) once daily, can be more effective than either alone.
