Not: Usually after a fire ant bite release its venom and there is an allergic reaction with a wheal formation and then a bump, if left alone they usually heal on itself without the need of antibiotics. They can become infected if scratched. However most of the time there is no need for oral antibiotics, local treatment with topical antibiotics and wound cleanser is generally safe.
