Not really: A hernia is an abnormal protrusion through a defect. You can have a bulge, but if its's not going through a hold, it's not a hernia. You can also have a hole in your muscle, but if nothing goes through the hole, it's not a hernia.

Hernia: We don't really call them partial hernias. A hernia is either there or isn't there. If your intensitines get stuck in a hernia, you can have a partial obstruction or a complete obstruction. Hernias can either be reducible or incarcerated as well.
