Can stress and anxiety mimic pregnancy symptoms?

Yes: In fact, there are people who develop false pregnancy complete with abdominal enlargement from the stress of a psychotic illness. This is called pseudocyesis. The last case of this i saw was in my residency at a state hospital. The woman was admitted for false pregnancy, but on her pelvic exam i found that she had huge ovarian cysts and i transferred her to the university for urgent surgery.

Rarely: There have been rare cases of "hysterical pregnancy" reported in history - i'm not sure if they still are, but it would be rare and probably additional diagnoses would be involved.
