After giving birth, can doctors tighten the vagina?

It can be narrowed: If an episiotomy was made, during repair the skin edges can be approximated closer and thus make the opening of the vagina, the introitus, narrower giving the feeling that it is tighter. Too narrow however can cause pain during intercourse or foreplay
