A member asked:

What kinds of infections can be found with breath tests?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breath test: Helicobacter pylori which is a cause of chronic gastritis can be detected by commercially available urea breath test. It is a non-invasive test that measures cabon dioxide in expired air after oral administration of isotopically labeled urea (because of urease production by this bacteria).
