German measles: This is a test to look for antibodies to rubella (also known as german measles). The presence of igm means that a person recently had the virus, while a positive igg test means a person had an infection in the more distant past and has most likely developed immunity to the virus. This is a common blood test for pregnant women since rubella can be dangerous to an unborn child.
