Blood in the urine: Red strings in the urine usually are related to blood (aka hematuria). This may occur continually, intermittently, or stop altogether but should always be investigated as to the cause (even if it stops): cancer, infection, stone, enlarged prostate, etc. Evaluation by your doctor or a urologist would be suggested.
