Stones in ducts: Stones occur in ducts not the tongue. Go see ENT doctor who can provide full explanation and treatment.

Possible yes but: We can't confirm or negate the diagnosis without actually examining you. An oral surgeon should be able to distinguish between the presence of a stone in wharton's duct or something else such as a growth. While the stone is usually near the front of the tongue, it might be further back and feel more like it's inside the tongue. See an oral surgeon for a second opinion.
