Stone in the tongue: It is common to have a stone under the tongue as this is where the gland will drain normally. Both duct drain next to each other under the tongue on the papilla of the duct. This can be fixed by your ENT if it does not get better with antibiotics , warm compresses, lemon drops and wedges and gland message. Good luck.

Hard tongue??: Without a proper examination i can only guess what it may be. Your tongue is mostly muscle with some blood vessels and nerves. I suspect you have some scar tissue from either a piercing or trauma. Ever bite your tongue hard enough to cause bleeding and if so did you get it sutured? Salivary stones are found in and near the glands of our mouth, not is our tongue. Get a second opinion.
