Almost Certainly!!!: In the vast majority of cases PCOS is part of an insulin resistance syndrome with insulin resist central to the cond, making PCOS a prediabetic state, a lipid disorder state & a risk factors for heart disease. Metformin has been shown to be beneficial in these potential comps. Since insulin resistance is part of the cause it very often helps w/ovulation as well. Just be sure the dx is correct!
