Return visit: See your eye md again. There are various reasons for double vision after cataract surgery, and most are not worrisome. Your eye surgeon will determine whether you need help with astigmatism correction or if the two eyes have such different prescriptions. Occassionally the muscles of the eye are affected by the numbing medicine used during surgery.

Go back to your Dr: You should go back to your ophthalmologist and have him check the placement of the lens, and also repeat an eye exam. The double vision may be unrelated to the lens, so you need to have a thorough exam. Sooner the better!
