Headaches: Your headaches are not related to your elevated cholesterol. One sided headaches are likely to be migraines.

Well: Do they throbb or or they constant. Does light or sound make them worse. Are they better after sleeping. Does aspirin, excedrin, mortrin or aleve (naproxen) make them a bit better if you take it early? Were you ever carsick? If your answers were yes to any of these it sounds like migraine headaches.

Many causes: Unilateral headaches can be caused by many causes including chronic sinus infection, migraine, TMJ pain, neck problems to name a few. A good history and exam by your physician should be able to identify and treat the condition.
