Ok: Some soreness and itchiness are expected for a couple of days after a flu shot "or any vaccine", i wouldn't worry about it.

Flu shot: It is not unusual to have some discomfort after a flu shot. Some patients even experience muscle aches and a tired feeling for a day or two. Stay well hydrated, and take one or two Ibuprofen every 4 to 6 hours for any discomfort. Feel free to get a flu shot next year as the discomfort will likely not recur.
