Suppression: Hi. The GnRH agonists (like Luprolex) suppress the pituitary drivers to gonadal steroid production, thus creating a state of hypogonadism (low testosterone in men, low estrogen in women). Hypogonadism is desirable in the treatment of some conditions that are made worse by estrogen or testosterone. Examples would be endometriosis in women and prostate cancer in men. Good luck!
