Several ideas: Most (not all) of these cramps are caused by: exercise without stretching afterward, not drinking enough water during the day, not enough magnesium, calcium or potassium (in that order). If they continue in spite of correcting these, please see your doctor to make sure there is nothing scary going on. But over 95% of muscle cramps respond to correcting these things.
