Circumcision: Circumcision is a personal choice allowed here due to a long history of individual freedom. Some religious reasons are important as is a risk reduction of penile cancer and transmission of HIV virus. Although there is no strictly medical reason to do it, it will continue to remain an option for parents and their newborn sons.

USA: a free country: Because circumcision is required by numerous religions, because many believe circumcision improves quality of life, many believe it is more hygienic, many require circumcision for medical reasons (phimosis, paraphymosis, recurrent balanitis, etc), prevents penile cancer, reduces risk of urinary infections in first year of life and the usa is afree country. Male circumcision is not mutilation!
