I've heard someone with autism is more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety. what can be done?

AUTISM: Autism has its own problems. Although there are many abnormalities , they cope with the situation.They are withdrawn due to lack of self esteem, probably with anxiety and depression due to communication problems with repetitive movements. Like any patient they can be treated.

Yes, it's true: Anxiety that drives " avoidance" behaviors in young children with ad remains an issue for all, whether high- or low-functioning. .Depression begins in teens who are high-functioning when they feel "something's wrong with me & i can't fix it." zoloft or Prozac can be used in tiny doses increased slowly to avoid agitation. Abilify (aripiprazole) or Risperdal can be used in small, split doses. Dosing is key.
